CONWY CCTV 2000 PROJECT

The CMIS system was developed for Conwy County Borough Council as part of the "Conwy CCTV 2000 Project"

It was found that whilst the old CCTV system operating in the County was a success a number of issues arose that needed addressing, there was a need to consolidate the existing the existing CCTV operation and data and management information needed to be changed, having previously depended upon the traditional log book. System mangers were spending an inordinate amount of time trawling log books in order to produce statistics for the local Crime and Disorder Partnership and members of the council.

Conwy Council approached Stephen Gorst of RoofspaceUK and together they designed a draft system which was approved for development.

CMIS has been designed to be as intuitive and flexible as possible and with the operator in mind. Before the final version was put in place, prototype versions were built and thoroughly tested by the operators and all feedback was acted upon to produce the final version that everybody is happy with.
